Überblick
Der Brunnen wurde von Canfeda Kethüda Kadın unter der Herrschaft Murads III. erbaut. Die Inschrift, die er heute trägt, stammt nicht von ihr, sondern ist eine Instandsetzungsinschrift: Sie besagt, dass der Brunnen 1826 von Su'ada, der Schatzmeister-Herrin Mahmuds II., instand gesetzt wurde.
Er liegt im Viertel Orhan in İzmit, eine kurze Autofahrt vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.
