Our policy
When an error is found, whether by a reader or by our own checks, we go back to the source first. If our page differs from the source, we correct the page and update the date on which the fact was checked.
If the source itself is wrong or out of date, we say so on the page rather than quietly changing what the source says, and we look for a more current official source.
What counts as a correction
Wrong facts, broken source links, a place shown in the wrong province or district, a wrong name, and an illustration attached to the wrong place are all treated as corrections.
Changes in taste, such as preferring a different place to be featured, are not corrections, but we are glad to hear them.
How a correction is made
A rewritten guide text is saved as a new version and the previous version is archived, so it is possible to see what changed.
When a record turns out to be a duplicate of another, the two are merged and the old address sends you on to the surviving page instead of breaking.
Reporting channel
A contact address for reports will be published on this page together with the site's own domain. Until then the site is not open to the public.
