The bridge stands at Narlıdere village on the Bitlis-Baykan road.
When it was built and by whom are not known, because it has no inscription. Looking at the bridge's architecture and at the history of the area, the provincial directorate reports a widely held view that it dates from the late sixteenth or the seventeenth century, under the Ottomans — a view rather than a finding.
