Değle lies on Karadağ, a volcanic mountain 37 kilometres north of Karaman, and what survives there are remains of Byzantine buildings. What makes it useful is the domestic architecture: there are spaces here that give an idea of how people lived in the Byzantine period. The houses are simpler and less carefully built than the religious buildings, and were made with two or three rooms according to need.
There are Byzantine rock tombs and grave covers, and on the eastern slopes of the hill chamber tombs built of cut stone under pyramidal roofs. There is also an altar predating the Byzantine period, which was converted into a rock tomb in that period. On the eastern face of that large rock block is a relief scene: a man in front holds a bowl in his left hand and scatters seed with his right. You need your own vehicle.
