The bridge crosses the Sortkin stream 7 kilometres from the centre of Çatak in Van province. Nothing on the provincial directorate's page says when it was built or by whom.
What it does give are measurements. The deck runs 45.5 metres long and 4.84 metres wide, sloping down to either side from the middle. The bridge stands 14.22 metres high on a single arch spanning 17.5 metres.
A door one metre wide opens into a room in the right-hand part of the downstream face; the page does not say what the room was for. Brick, cut stone, rubble, flagstone and lime mortar were used in the building.
