This canyon is reached by boat: from Kumlutarla village, in the Baskil district of Elazığ, the way in is over the water. The village is three kilometres from the canyon and is reached from Elazığ by road.
What makes it worth the trip is what nests there: black storks, of which the source estimates 10,000 to 15,000 pairs remain in the world. The canyon lies on the Euphrates, within the bounds of the village.
