Three kermes oaks stand at the same locality in Kızılören village, Dazkırı district of Afyonkarahisar province, and all three were registered as natural monuments on the same day, 6 September 2002, each on 0.10 hectares. What separates them is trunk diameter: roughly 80 centimetres for the first, 100 for this one, and 120 for the third.
A hundred centimetres is a great deal for this species. Kermes oak, Quercus coccifera, usually grows as low scrub, and the directorate registered these trees precisely because their diameter and height run far beyond what the species normally reaches, calling them among the thickest kermes oaks known in Türkiye. Neither an age nor a height is given for any of them.
Other kermes oaks and black pine saplings grow around the monument. There are no facilities and no concessionaire. Capacity is 100 visitors and 10 vehicles, with hours of 08:30 to 17:30.
The site is at the Kürdezi locality, also written as Üçardıçlar-Koruluk, 2.5 kilometres from the centre of Kızılören.
