What is protected here is a stand of Taurus cedar that grew of itself. The cedar is a tree of the south and south-west of the country, and this is the last isolated community of it recorded at the northernmost inner limit of the transition zone to the steppe in inner western Anatolia — which is the reason given for its protection.
The area was registered in August 1994 and lies at Çaykisla village in the Emirdağ district of Afyonkarahisar; the data field gives 251.33 hectares while the sentence stating the area in the text breaks off unfinished. It is open 08:30 to 17:30, with capacity for 100 visitors, 15 vehicles and 50 tents.
