Küçükboğaz Gölü covers fifty hectares. Pines grow around it, and its restful quiet makes it one of the places people come to at weekends.
The lake is open to angling, and among the fish in it are rudd, carp and chub.
Its most important feature is that it is a lagoon — a lake cut off from the sea by a coastal bar or spit. The variety of plants along its shore and the clear blue of the water make for a great play of colour, especially in the seasons when everything is coming to life.
In the picnic ground around the lake people picnic, fish and hunt, and there are places to rest and eat on both sides of it. Along the shore you can walk with the Black Sea in view or ride the cycle path, and you can swim either in the lake or in the sea.
The road is asphalt and the lake can be reached in any season.
