Küçükelmalı is a laid-out park rather than empty country: 17 day-use units, a country restaurant, a caravan camping ground, a water sports centre and a stall selling the villagers' own products. Rod fishing is allowed on the pond.
It covers 61.9 hectares at Küçükelmalı village in the Pazaryeri district of Bilecik, where forest and wetland run into one another: steep valleys cut by the Kurukavak, Mese and Çanakçı streams, gentle flats along the ridges, and a nine-hectare pond at the centre, with beech and oak turning gold in autumn. Black pine and plane grow along the walking and cycling routes. It has capacity for 700 visitors and 127 vehicles.
Distances are short in every direction: the park is 35 kilometres from Bilecik, 8 from Pazaryeri and 28 from Bozüyük, and its address is given as No: 256 on Küçükelmalı Köy Sokağı in the village of the same name. Water inside the park comes from springs within it and from the drinking-water tanks of Küçükelmalı village, with the pond on the north side available to draw on when it is needed.
Besides walking, cycling and fishing, the area's page suggests watching butterflies, birds and wildlife, and photographing the autumn colour. It also passes on a local story: that the golden film which forms on the surface of the pond when the beech and oak leaves come down in autumn is an inheritance of plenty left by ancient guardians of the forest, who settled these lands centuries ago and watched over nature as over their own eyes, and that the rustle of leaves around the pond is an old whisper of nature carrying the healing of clean air into the city.
