The Zero Waste and Climate Museum stands in the Başkent Millet Bahçesi in Ankara. Construction was handed over in March 2023 and provisionally accepted as complete in November of the same year, under the project and site supervision of the Ministry's General Directorate of Building Works.
It is built for children rather than for a general audience. The building runs to 925 square metres under cover, and the displays work through 26 projectors and a two-metre LED globe across five areas — an infinity space, a zero waste area, an energy corridor, a biodiversity awareness area, and an amphitheatre with a VR simulation space. The aim stated by the directorate is to teach children about the environment, climate change and waste through audio-visual presentation and hands-on work, so that the awareness comes early.
For visitors there is also a waiting hall, a library and study room, an office area and a cafeteria.
