The Hasan Paşa bath in Erdoğdu Mahallesi was built for soldiers, and its construction was finished in 1882, during the reign of Abdülhamid II. The building later passed to the Ortahisar municipality, which lists it today among its social facilities under the name Tarihi Hasan Paşa Asker Hamamı Müzesi.
Bringing it back into use took a restoration. The municipality began by having restoration project work drawn up, then prepared an implementation project once the Trabzon Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Property had approved it, and carried the work out; the account on the municipality's site records that the restoration was completed and the building opened. It does not describe what is shown inside, and gives no visiting hours.
