What draws visitors to Tillo Kalesi today is not the castle but what has been built on it: a glass viewing terrace, set at a commanding point of the fortress in the Tillo district of Siirt, looking out over the Botan valley.

It opened on 11 July 2016, built jointly by the Tillo district governorate, the Tillo union for services to villages and the Dicle Development Agency, at a total cost of 383,500 lira, of which the development agency covered 75 per cent as a grant.
