Yeni Han in Gaziantep belongs to the group of Ottoman hans built with a single courtyard and two storeys. From the names in the earliest title deeds it is thought to have been built between 1757 and 1785. The ground floor held the stores and the stable, and the rooms upstairs were for travellers to sleep in. It is built of cut küfeki stone in black and yellowish courses.
On the entrance floor is the Kaleoglu cave, which served for a time as a quarry and later as a stable for the animals of the han's guests. It has been restored and now serves as one of the resting and cooling places on the Culture Road. The han is on Uzun Çarsi in the Sekeroglu quarter, within walking distance of the centre.
