Afyonkarahisar is known across Türkiye for its sucuk -- the spiced, air-dried sausage -- and this museum is about how it is made. The municipality presents it as part of the province's gastronomic heritage rather than as a curiosity.
The display follows the process rather than the product: the cuts of meat used, the spices, traditional mincing machines, the drying methods and the scales. The point is to show how the sausage is produced and where the practice came from.
