Akbulut Kayak Tesisleri is an alpine skiing area beside the Erzincan–Sivas E-5 highway, 42 km from Erzincan, built over 30,000 square metres. Its hotel takes 60 guests and has a dining and meeting hall for 100, athletes' rooms and a sauna. The facility works mainly in the winter months, with ski hire and ski lessons.
Five pistes start from the upper station, for both experienced and amateur skiers: the steep 800-metre Dere içi run, with a 50 per cent gradient, is for experts, and the others are Su deposu (1,000 m), Köy yolu (2,000 m), Yamaç sırtı (1,200 m) and Karşı sırt (1,800 m). The T-bar, which the Erzincan directorate of culture and tourism counts among the longest lifts in Türkiye, is 1,026 metres long and climbs from 1,927 to 2,155 metres, a rise of 228 metres, with 110 hangers.
Getting there
The road from Erzincan is asphalt all the way, and the hotel and lifts are linked to the E-5 by an asphalt road kept open in summer and winter.

- Across Erzincan as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from -2.8 °C in January to 24 °C in August; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in May, June, July, August and September; rainfall is heaviest in May (54 mm) and lightest in August (7 mm). Long-term means for 1928-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
