The Bahariye spa area lies 4 km from Boğazlıyan. Its water, at 30–60 °C, is brought to the surface by three geothermal wells and belongs to the bicarbonate, chloride and sulphate group. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism declared the area the Bahariye Thermal Tourism Centre in 2001.

- Across Yozgat as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from -1.6 °C in January to 19.9 °C in August; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in June, July, August and September; rainfall is heaviest in December (75 mm) and lightest in August (11 mm). Long-term means for 1929-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
