The Bitez olive is as wide as it is tall, or nearly so: 3.5 metres in height against a trunk 2.60 metres across. Its age is not known for certain and is put at more than 300 years, a lower bound rather than a figure. No girth is given.
It was declared a natural monument on 29 September 1995, on 0.25 hectares in the Bitez quarter of Bodrum district, Muğla province.
Stated capacity is five visitors, among the lowest of any monument tree in the register, with hours of 08:00 to 17:00.
