Çınarsuyu Nature Park is a picnic and camping ground in the Ünye district of Ordu, on the seaward side of the Ünye–Terme road ten kilometres from the town. The area was planted with trees at a later date and was declared a nature park in 2011; it covers about seven hectares.
The park is bounded by the Black Sea to the north, the Samsun–Ordu road to the south, the Atmaca stream to the west and the Çınarsuyu stream to the east. It takes its name from the Çınarsuyu, which runs through the park and empties into the sea.
In the 1970s this ground was where the Ünye municipality dumped its rubbish. It was planted with trees at the beginning of the 1980s, and the mud produced in clearing the Tabakhane stream, which runs through the town, was tipped onto the planted ground. Once the trees had grown, this stretch of coast became attractive, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry laid it out as a park.
The park now holds a country restaurant, camping grounds and shops, and visitors picnic here, swim and stay overnight. The bungalows are designed for families, and there are areas set aside for tent and caravan camping as well. There are fountains and washbasins, a shop and a buffet, lavatories, a children's playground, places to light a fire, picnic tables and parking. The beach is narrow but runs a kilometre in length and is suitable for swimming.
According to the ministry's figures, fieldwork and a review of the literature recorded 315 taxa on the site, belonging to 254 genera across 88 families. Observation and survey found 78 bird species living in the park and the country immediately around it.
