The Çir falls are formed where water rising from a rock 100 metres high — the stone the falls are named after — drops from a height of 50 metres. They are fed by snowfall and by seasonal flow, so there is a season to them: visitors come in numbers from spring onwards.
Broad forest, mountains and the local flora around the falls make up a rich ecosystem, and the ground suits picnicking, walking and photography. The directorate places the falls at Uzundere village in the Ilıcalar township and gives the address as Naman in Yenibaşlar.

- Across Bingöl as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from -2.1 °C in January to 26.7 °C in July; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in May, June and September; rainfall is heaviest in January (137 mm) and lightest in August (4 mm). Long-term means for 1961-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
