The Çir falls are formed where water rising from a rock 100 metres high — the stone the falls are named after — drops from a height of 50 metres. They are fed by snowfall and by seasonal flow, so there is a season to them: visitors come in numbers from spring onwards.
Broad forest, mountains and the local flora around the falls make up a rich ecosystem, and the ground suits picnicking, walking and photography. The source gives two different places for the falls without reconciling them: the village of Uzundere in the Ilicalar township, and Naman in Yenibaslar.
