The Galatasaray Stadium Museum is at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex, and it is the club's own account of itself: Galatasaray Spor Kulübü, founded in 1905, presents the museum as the record of a long line of firsts in Turkish sport, and of a side that in its own telling reached the level of the best team in the world in 2000.
One ticket covers three things — the museum, a film, and a tour of the stadium — and the whole visit runs about sixty minutes. The exhibition occupies 2,100 square metres and includes a cinema seating eighty.
The core of the collection is the trophy section: 778 cups and medals. The rest is arranged as a route through the club's history, from a literature class and the Grand Cour to the Taksim ground and then Ali Sami Yen, by way of Spor Sergi, Kalamış and, for the 2000 UEFA Cup, Copenhagen.
