The Güzelcehisar basalt columns are a natural monument of 14.30 hectares on the Bartın coast, registered on 14 August 2017. The columns formed as volcanic rock cooled, and they are the reason for the designation.
The tree cover around them is hornbeam, oak and Calabrian pine, with hazel, meadow grasses, nettle, firethorn, dog rose and ivy among the other plants.
To get there from Bartın, take the road towards Bartın harbour and continue west and north-west for about 8 kilometres, then turn south-west at the Güzelcehisar junction and follow that road about 11 kilometres.
