Guide
Karakurt's hot spring is in the village of Karalar, in the central district of Kırşehir, sixteen kilometres from the city. A well 147.65 metres deep brings the water up at 51 °C, at twelve litres a second. Within the grounds of the spa stand the historic Karakurt Ilıcası, the old bath, and the tomb of Kalender Baba.
The Kırşehir governorship counts Karakurt among the province's most important spas and says that bathing in the water has given positive results for rheumatism, neuralgia and gynaecological complaints, among others. The spa has an accommodation facility.
