The roof of the Kayme palace has gone entirely. Its north and west walls are in good condition, while the east and south walls are only partly standing.
From its inscriptions the building went up between 1909 and 1911. No name appears in them, but it is thought to have been built by Seyit Muhammed Sıddık, son of Seyit Ubeydullah. It was two storeys, rectangular on a north-south axis and measuring 18.8 by 24 metres. It stands on the north side of the old settlement area of Bağlar village, in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari, and is reached by road.
