Guide

Kestanbol's hot springs are in Çanakkale's Ezine district, fifteen kilometres from the town of Ezine. Several sources of very different temperature rise here: the main spring at 67 °C, a second at 47 °C, the mud water at 68 °C, the bath spring at 31 °C and the 'eye water' spring at 21 °C.

The water is taken as baths, mud baths, inhalation and spray cures. The Çanakkale culture and tourism directorate states that it has been found effective for inflammatory gynaecological conditions, rheumatism, sciatica, arthrosis, some forms of bone tuberculosis, swollen lymph glands in small children and asthma-like spasms of the upper airways, and, applied as a spray, for upper respiratory and lung diseases.
