Köprülü Mehmet Pasha built this mosque at Vezirhan, on the Bilecik-Sakarya road, in 1665, near the caravanserai of the same name. It has been suggested that it is a work of Mimar Sinan, but no document establishing that claim has been found, and it is repeated here only as a claim. The mosque is rectangular, 17.30 by 18.60 metres, built of cut stone under a hipped roof.
On the north side is a porch of five bays carried on six columns linked by round arches, and the porch and the prayer hall are covered by the same hipped roof. The hall has a wooden ceiling put in later. It is lit by round-arched windows, two in each of the side walls and two rows in the mihrab wall. The mihrab is simple, but the minbar, decorated with rosettes and muqarnas, is the piece worth looking at in terms of art history. The cut-stone minaret at the northwest corner was renewed in 1965. The mosque is at the sixteenth kilometre of the Bilecik-Adapazarı road.
