The castle sits on natural blocks of rock east of Yesilçit village, in the Mesudiye district of Ordu, and it is reached by a stair cut into the bedrock. It is held to be the oldest settlement in the district.
The village is 15 kilometres from the centre of Mesudiye, which is itself 114 kilometres from Ordu; transport goes from Mesudiye. The source gives no date or period for the building.
