Two things in this mosque are worth going in for. The mihrab is made entirely of tile. And the minaret is climbed by two stairs that do not see one another for the first half of the ascent, meeting only halfway up.
The mosque was built in the sixteenth century by Melik Ahmet Paşa. The decoration of the minaret's base is finely done, and the reliefs ornamented with tile mosaic give the work the look of a delicate and skilled hand. It is on Melik Ahmet Caddesi in the Sur district.
