Narlıgöl, also known as Acıgöl, is a crater lake on the border between Aksaray and Niğde provinces, warmed by thermal water that reaches 65 °C. The water is very rich in calcium, sodium and bicarbonate. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism's culture portal describes it as suitable for treating rheumatic and skin conditions, psoriasis above all, and adds that it is also thought to help with circulation, heart and blood-pressure problems and neurological disorders; it notes too that, used in measured doses, the site offers the possibility of heliotherapy, or sun treatment.

- Across Aksaray as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from 0.6 °C in January to 23.6 °C in July; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in May, June, July, August and September; rainfall is heaviest in December (46 mm) and lightest in August (6 mm). Long-term means for 1929-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
