Guide
The Sufi Trail is a long-distance walking and cycling route of 801 km from İstanbul to Konya, laid out along the old Ottoman Hajj road. An average walker needs about 40 days to cover it, while cyclists and bikepackers need around two weeks on its bike route. It passes through old villages with monumental mosques and along hidden paths once used by caravans, with tombs to visit on the way, an underwater city at İznik and an underground town at Han.
The trail was established with the help of local people and councils and mapped on OpenStreetMap, and it is waymarked with GR codes and the project's own stickers. A GPX track of the route is sold through the project's shop.
