Guide

Rising to 2,365 metres above the Kemer coast, Tahtalı Dağı lies within Beydağları National Park, and Kemer Municipality calls it the highest point close to the sea in the region. The Olimpos Teleferik cable car joins the Mediterranean shore to the summit; the municipality presents it as the longest cable car in Europe and the second longest in the world.

The cable car is the easy way up for the view from the top, and a fare is charged. For walkers there are mountain paths from the summit down to Beycik village, about four hours on foot, and to Çukuryayla, about six hours; the same routes are used for trekking and mountain biking.

Getting there

The lower station of the cable car is about thirty minutes by car from the town centre, and the ride to the summit takes around fifteen minutes. A shuttle runs from the main road to the boarding station.
