Only the entrance part of the Taşhan keeps its old form, and that part is used as an exhibition space. The date the han was built is not known for certain; written texts show that it existed at the beginning of the seventeenth century.
It was built as solid masonry in cut stone and brick. The entrance is covered by a system of four domes, and inside there is a system of pointed arches. It is on Taşhan Caddesi in the Camiikebir quarter, in the centre of Bayburt.
