Only the entrance of the Taşhan, a caravanserai in the centre of Bayburt, keeps its old form, and that part is used as an exhibition space. The date the han was built is not known for certain; written texts show that it existed at the beginning of the seventeenth century.
It was built as solid masonry in cut stone and brick. The entrance is covered by a system of four domes, and inside there is a system of pointed arches. It is on Taşhan Caddesi in the Camiikebir quarter, in the centre of Bayburt.
