Yakupabdal Nature Park lies in the Demirözü district of Bayburt, fifty kilometres from the city and twenty from the district centre. It was declared a nature park on 2 December 2014 and is open twenty-four hours.
The park is covered mainly in Scots pine forest and scrub, and there is an artificial lake within it. Various plants and animals have been recorded living here.
Although the park opened in 2014, the source holds that it has not been made widely enough known. Landscaping work was begun within it in 2018 to raise its potential for tourism, and that work is largely complete.
