Guide

Kop Dağı ski centre lies on the border between Bayburt and Erzurum, at the Kop pass, roughly 3,000 m high: a crossing on the historic Silk Road and the most important gateway on the roads from the Black Sea into Eastern Anatolia. The skiing begins at 2,600 m, behind a hill known as Kartal Tepesi.

Ten runs of differing difficulty start from summits at 2,950 m, served by a 1,240 m surface lift, and the slopes begin right beside the hotel. Snow starts to settle in December and good snow lasts until the end of May.

Getting there

The centre is 33 km from Bayburt and 70 km from Erzurum Airport.
