Guide
The ski runs on Uğurludağ, in forest near Yalnızçam village 12 km from the centre of Ardahan, face north-west and fall in a steady, even gradient from the summits to the valley floor. The vertical drop is 800 m, which the provincial governorship notes is above international standards, and the total piste length is given as 6 km; technical surveys judged the site suitable for Alpine slalom racing.
Snow usually begins in mid-October and keeps falling until mid-May, so the ground stays covered for about six months. Measurements taken in May found 50–100 cm of snow around the facilities and as much as 100–170 cm higher on the mountain. Day-use facilities stand at Çeşner, and an avalanche study commissioned by the governorship found no avalanche risk.
