The bath is in the village of Yarıkçı, 15 kilometres from Mihalıççık. It is held to go back to the Seljuk period, though the buildings fell into ruin over time and were pulled down and rebuilt, so what you see is not the original fabric. It has long been known as a quiet place to rest and take the waters, set in greenery.
The water is sulphurous and comes out at 35 degrees, and the bathhouse was built directly over the spring. It carries enough calcium carbonate to leave deposits, and the valley below shows the result: petrified cascades of the mineral the water leaves behind.
