This is a route rather than a single place: 35 kilometres from Yığılca, in Düzce, to the Yedigöller National Park. The provincial governorship surfaced the road and put up direction and trail signs to tie the two ends together, and it can be driven or walked.
On foot the line runs Yığılca — Karakaş — Mengen — Yaylatepe — Yedigöller. The provincial directorate rates it as moderate and passable in all four seasons for walkers with stamina, long-distance experience and the ability to find their own way. It follows the Küçük Melen valley along the stream and then climbs through hills and villages, under mixed broadleaf forest of hornbeam, oak, linden, ash and pine.
Yığılca itself is the reason the route exists rather than a waypoint on it: the honey forests, the Hasanlar Dam, the Saklıkent and Yoğunpelit waterfalls and the Sarıkaya and Gökçeağaç caves are all within reach of the village, and Yedigöller is 35 kilometres further on.
