The Alaaddin Mosque in the old town of Uluborlu was built in 1231, in the reign of Alaeddin Keykubad, by a granddaughter of Kılıç Arslan II and daughter of Tuğrul Şah. Its inscription sets this out in full: that the mosque was built from the wealth of Melike-i Adile, the learned daughter of the martyred sultan Tuğrul Şah, son of Kılıç Arslan, in the month of Rajab of the year 629, during the reign of Keykubad, son of Keyhüsrev.
The mosque has been repaired repeatedly. Bedrettin Ömer bin Emirulhac restored it in 1281, during the reign of Gıyaseddin Mesud II, and a second repair was carried out in 1652 by Vahap Kadı, a local man. The mosque burned in 1909 and was worked on again in 1927, and its plaster, paint and inscriptions were done in 1932 by Hacı Nuri Altintabak. It has three doors, opening north, east and west, thirty-five windows, two domes resting on four columns, and a brick minaret with a single balcony.
