In the pine woods east of Gönen, in Isparta province, stands a tomb that is said to be that of Yunus Emre. Nothing here is put forward as established: the graves inside are believed to be the holy graves of saintly men, and the four are named, in order from the right of the entrance, as Yunus Emre, Taptuk Emre, Sinan Efendi of Bukhara, and Şeyh Sadettin Efendi, who founded the endowment.
The wood the graves stand in was called Manastır, read locally as mana-sir, the secret of meaning. Its present name is the Pazar quarter.
