At Lake

At Gölü is one of the few lakes in Rize that can be reached without difficulty — but it still means a walk: in suitable weather, setting out from the Verçenik plateau, you reach the lake in at most two hours.

The path follows the river through country where the summer pasturing still goes on, past grazing land and herds, with the great north face of Verçenik in view the whole way.
