Guide

Ayder is a highland pasture at 1218 metres, 19 km south-east of Çamlıhemşin, set among pine forests with views of the Kaçkar and the sound of the Fırtına stream all around. It is the starting point for climbs of the Kaçkar mountains from the north, and the Gürgendibi and Gelintülü waterfalls, which drop from a great height, are within walking distance.

With its infrastructure complete, Ayder has the look of a holiday town. Accommodation ranges from bungalows and traditional highland houses to family guesthouses and hotels. Besides its plant and animal life, the yayla is known for its hot spring, and Ayder honey is one of the things to taste here.
