The woodwork of the ceiling is what the Ministry of Culture and Tourism singles out in this mosque at Balişeyh, 21 kilometres from the centre of Kırıkkale.
Who had it built is not known, and the building is estimated to date from the twelfth century, to the year 1121. It is in the centre of the district and is reached by local transport.
