Guide

Belek lies on the eastern side of Antalya's coastline, where the mountains run parallel to the sea and leave a plain between them; from Antalya towards Side and Gazipaşa that plain is fringed with fine-sand beaches, and Belek is one of them, along with Lara and Kundu. The beach is also important for sea turtles. Loggerheads (Caretta caretta) and green turtles (Chelonia mydas) nest along seventeen stretches of the Antalya coast, and the provincial directorate of culture and tourism classes Belek as a first-degree nesting beach.
