The spa waters of Çermik, in the district of the same name, are credited by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's portal with being very good for skin complaints, muscle pain, paralysis and rheumatic diseases. Belkıs Hamamı, also here, has become a place that women hoping to have a child visit in large numbers: a widespread local belief holds that a woman who bathes here with a special prayer will conceive.
