The tower stands alone today: it was built as part of a mansion, and when that mansion burned down in a fire in 1948 only the tower was left.
It is a masonry building of the eighteenth century, raised to protect the Cihanoğulları family from raids. At the beginning of the nineteenth century it went through changes — a bath and a terrace were added — and in the early twentieth century stucco plaster ornament was applied. The source places it in the centre of the Koçarli district in its description and in Efeler in its address.
