The Donduran tower stands south of Donduran, in the Yenipazar district of Aydın, built of rubble stone, brick and in places reused marble. It consists of two adjoining square spaces, the one attached to the west front being the smaller. It is a cubic building of two storeys and a terrace level. The wooden floors burned and are gone. On the east wall of the second storey is a fireplace with a triangular pediment, and there are embrasures in the walls at terrace level.
The entrance is in the middle of the first-floor wall on that same front, and access was probably by steps on the inner side of a drawbridge — the remains of the pulley system for that bridge can be seen in the pulley at the centre of the door's wooden lintel. In keeping with the practice of its day the tower was built above the village, commanding both the village and the Menderes plain. Its exact date is not known; the inscriptions on the fountains in the village, dated 1763-64 and 1764-65, give some indication. Its importance is that it is one of only three such towers still standing in Aydın.

Long-term means for 1940-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
