Çitdere nature conservation area lies south-west of Karabük, across the central, Yenice and Eskipazar districts, and was protected on 29 December 1987. It covers about 730 hectares.
Neither way in is short. The first leaves the D300 towards Zonguldak at about its tenth kilometre and runs some 19 kilometres of village road south, through Şenler, then Sipahiler and Karaagaç, and on towards the Sorgun plateau; the second branches from the same highway further along.

- Across Karabük as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from 3.3 °C in January to 24.4 °C in July; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in May, June, July, August and September; rainfall is heaviest in May (57 mm) and lightest in August (26 mm). Long-term means for 1965-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
