Baklabostan Tabiat Parkı covers 37.39 hectares in Karabük and was registered on 18 September 2017 for its natural assets and recreational potential. Two closures apply: by decision of the Governorship of Karabük dated 15 February 2026, entry to the forest was suspended and the park is closed between 1 June and 31 October 2026; and the nature education centre on the site is closed in its own right.
The plants recorded here include rosebay willowherb, common dogwood, poet's cassia, mistletoe, the umbellifer Artedia squamata, black and American nightshade, deadly nightshade, a small henbane, two sages, the red helleborine, giant reed, bulrush and Scots pine.
The animals are more varied than the plant list suggests: hen harrier, lesser spotted woodpecker, brambling, hawfinch and rock bunting among the birds; roe deer, wild boar, wolf, fox, wildcat and beech marten among the mammals; and tree frog, green lizard, grass snake and the dwarf snake Eirenis modestus.
Facilities are the nature education centre, a wildlife observation tower, a viewing terrace and a day-use area, and the park is used for education, wildlife watching, walking and day visits. It lies 15 kilometres from the centre of Karabük along the road towards Başköy village.
