What is called a castle here is a settlement cut out of a natural rock face, north-west of the Göynüs valley in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar. It came into use in the Phrygian period and was lived in again under the Byzantines.
Besides various spaces, a large cistern with steps, now filled with stone, can still be seen. Immediately beside the castle is a necropolis of chamber tombs cut into the rock and graves of the box type.
