Emir Kaplıcaları covers 17.08 hectares in the Kula district of Manisa and was declared a nature park on 30 April 2022. Note before visiting: the development plan has been prepared but there are no facilities on the site at present.
The assets here are groundwater, mineral-rich hot springs, and Roman remains. The springs lie south of Şehitlioğlu village near the Gediz, beside the Ilıca bath stream, and the west side of the area where the spa buildings stand is enclosed by the bed of a Gediz tributary and by bare rock slopes. Roman bath remains are visible at the Emir baths, and the Directorate reads them as evidence that the area has been used as a spa for thousands of years.
About 150 metres from the site, outside it, lies a Cybele-Attis cult site, and first- and third-degree archaeological protection zones are nearby. The tree cover is mostly stone pine, Calabrian pine, oak and maquis.
Walking, glamping, tent camping, nature photography, recreation and orienteering are activities the Directorate considers the site suited to rather than ones currently provided for. Stated capacity is 1,000 visitors, 100 vehicles and 100 tents. The park is 145 kilometres from Manisa and 18 from Kula.
